Copper Range Campground in the Brule River State Forest is one of the best locations for paddling or fishing the Bois Brule River. A short walk from the campground itself gives you access to a decent put-in/take-out location for running the river. There are a couple good steelhead holes nearby as well.

The Brotherhood goes to Brule every 3rd weekend in September, we kayak for 7 hours and fish and just have fun. The campground is beautiful, and so is the Brule river. It's a very relaxing place and overall, I look forward to it every year!!!
The bathrooms are solid, and there is a water pump to load up on a hot summer day. You can reserve sites or walk up if sites are still available. Every site has a good fire ring and log bench or two. Fellow campers are usually very friendly and willing to share fishing tips and locations.
Nice place to camp while fishing. Rangers were beyond a-holes.
